all in the golden afternoon

i'm in a bit of a whimsical mood right now and happened upon one of my favorite poems:

How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tale,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every gold scale!

How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spread his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws!
