   Wow, nice!! I like the colors and the petal that's floating off. So your job is too conservative for this type of thing? How did you decide on a design?

   yes, sadly my job is much too conservative for a lot of things. i have 6 tattoos all together, but this one is the most visible.
   
   my really good friend, wendy, wanted to get cherry blossoms and i fell in love with her idea so i borrowed it. when i went to get it done (she was supposed to come along and get the same one, but something happened and she couldn't make it) i really didn't have a plan and told the artist as much. he drew this out in a few minutes and presto! i loved it.
   
   he drew on the petal free hand when he was done and explained the meaning: the 3 cherry blossoms signify the things that are held near and dear, while the petal falling signifies how fragile those things really are.
   
   wendy is now preggers and wants to get the blossoms on her belly after she delivers.
   
   she and i have gotten two other tattoos together, so we're sort of tattoo buddies. :-)
